Led by Paul Heaton and Dave Rotheray, and featuring Stan Cullimore and Norman ‘Quentin’ Cook, the band formed in Hull, East Yorkshire, as a politically-minded pop group. The band developed a sound summarised as ‘Left Wing Gospel’. WebbStan Cullimore (born May 6, 1962) is famous for being guitarist. He currently resides in England, United Kingdom. Guitarist who became known from the Hull based indie rock band The Housemartins. He went on to become a journalist and author of over 120 children’s books.
