Web12 Mar 2009 · The Th400 output shafts used in trucks with a bolt on yoke have an o-ring and a raised portion just ahead of the splined portion, this will cause a regular passenge car yoke to bottom out on the raised ring portion. The "conversion" yoke is counterbored to fit over this raised portion, and still have enough spline engagement and travel. But here the problem.... as now, i have a yoke thats WAY too big to fit inside my ('Glide) trans's tail, let alone fit on the output shaft!! The Glide does have a Turbo shaft tough. Overall length was shorter than the 350. You can simply unbolt the yoke and use a slip style, but the stock driveshaft was too short and the yoke was too small.
